"Dance city" is a collaboration between sound artist Christophe Charles and video artist Ludovic Pierre who apply a common approach of reality recording and transformation to create a slightly familiar but different world, with its set of interleaved layers, spacial rhythm and hidden structures. By relying on images of a virtual dancer (JOU), the performance plays with the idea of choregraphy while abstracting the human aspect of dance into a pure world of audio/visual sensations.
